ServLife Medical Team Leaving for Haiti on January 28

The ServLife team being sent into Port-au-Prince, Haiti (consisting of six doctors, five nurses and a coordinator) leaves from Florida on January 28. Abby Kuzma: ServLife Board Member
Abigail Lawlis Kuzma received a BA from the University of Wisconsin and J.D. from Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington. Ms. Kuzma is currently the Director and Chief Counsel of Consumer Protection of the Indiana Attorney General’s office. She was Articles Editor of the Indiana Law Journal from 1980-1981. She was co-founder of the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic and has served as Executive Director from January 1994 to April 2009. Before serving with the NCLC, Ms. Kuzma was a subcommittee Chief Counsel of the United States Senate Judiciary Committee, and prior to that, Legislative Assistant for Senator Richard G. Lugar. She has published three articles: Faith Based Providers Partnering With Government: Opportunity or Temptation, 42 JOURNAL OF CHURCH AND STATE 37 (2000), The Legislative Response to Infant Doe. 59 INDIANA LAW JOURNAL 377 (1983), and Note: Hospice: The Legal Ramifications of a Place to Die, 56 INDIANA LAW JOURNAL 673 (1980). In September 2003, Ms. Kuzma discussed Funding Faith at the Butler University Seminar on Religion and World Civilization, and in July 2001, Ms. Kuzma was a guest of the Massachusetts School of Law television program, “A Question of Law,” along with Ira Lupu Lyle Denniston and Connie Rudnick and discussed the topic Separation of Church and State. The Earthquake in Haiti
On Tuesday, January 12, an earthquake measuring a 7.0 magnitude struck Haiti near its capital city of Port-au-Prince. The damage to this country is extensive and the number of injured or dead is estimated to be in the thousands, perhaps the hundreds of thousands.
ServLife International is part of an on the ground network that is bringing emergency supplies to survivors of this catastrophe.

ServLife Accepting Donations for Victims of the Earthquake in Haiti

We are accepting donations that will be used for direct aid for victims of this horrific catastrophe. Thousands have been impacted and the death toll is not known. On January 12, 2010, at 4:53 p.m. EST, the worst earthquake to hit Haiti in over 200 years, measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale hit the country. Monetary Donations Needed to Supply Winter Clothing to Children in Nepal and India

We are accepting monetary donations to help provide much needed winter clothing for children in Nepal and India that ServLife is caring for. This includes kids in our children’s homes and other children in the community that ServLife workers minister to.
Here is what your donation could do:
- $25 will buy a winter coat for one child
- $10 will buy a pair of pants or a warm top
- $5 will buy a pair of mittens or a hat
- $1 will buy a pair of socks
Each of these items are desperately needed. Please consider helping to give these wonderful children and warm and happy holiday season!

Through our children sponsorship program, children in the regions of the world that we work get an education, healthy food, love, and opportunities to hear the love of Christ. Another great reward through sponsoring a child is building a relationship and staying connected to their continued development through letter writing.
