Meet New ServLife USA Staff Member- April Grabbe
April Grabbe, from Greenwood, Indiana, is the newest member of the ServLife USA team. She started working with ServLife in January 2008 and is the assistant to the President and head of sponsorships.
April first learned about ServLife from a friend of hers that is passionate about global injustices and taking the love of Christ to the world and April had expressed to her a desire to be able to have an impact on the world. In a conversation with a member of the ServLife organization, April’s friend informed her about an open position with ServLife. After doing some research, April was so excited and encouraged to find there was an organization with the same passions she had and that she had the possibility to work with this organization and its members. The more she learned about ServLife, the more she fell in love with it. She spent time on the ServLife Web site and Joel Vestal’s Blog, researching the beliefs, desires and actions of ServLife. After months of prayer and research, she accepted the position as Joel’s assistant and head of sponsorship.
“I knew I would like being involved in the sponsorship program, but did not realize how much it would touch my heart,” said April. “To read about these children and their stories is amazing. I love every minute of being at ServLife and am so blessed that I am able to use the talents God gave me in administration to help make a difference in this world and bring God to those who need him.”
