Shannon Taylor- Field Staff Associate in Asia
Shannon Taylor is currently working in Asia. After growing up in Athens, Georgia, she spent her undergrad years at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. After college she moved to Des Moines, Iowa, with a volunteer service program. She then later returned to Athens, and among other things, pursued a graduate degree in nonprofit management from the University of Georgia. Most notable aspects of her career thus far have been in the nonprofit sector in the States, with emphasis in areas of volunteer management and organizational development. This has included working in community organizing in Des Moines and running a volunteer-based Christian health clinic providing care for the uninsured in Athens.Â
She is excited to be in Asia helping to build global community and the body of Christ through developing personal relationships and partnerships that bring justice, hope, and love to our world. As Ephesians 4:4 reminds us, there is ONE body of Christ – no matter how disconnected and fractured it may look at times – and it is her heart to serve as a connector between different parts of that body. We all suffer when one part of our family suffers. May we learn to rejoice together as well! (1 Corinthians 12:26)
