ServLife Hosting Missional Theology Conference for Indigenous African Leaders In South Africa

ServLife will be hosting the first Missional Theology Conference in South Africa July 10-12, in collaboration with Umzimba, a newly forming group of young African pastors and theologians who have joined together to write, debate, plant churches, and train leaders in new ways.

Orphans in Nepal Receive Letters from Children on the Other Side of the World

In May, Joel Vestal, along with volunteer Dave Garrison, delivered numerous letters, pictures, and gifts to orphans in ServLife’s children home in Nepal. The letters, written and prepared by the children’s sponsors, were an absolute joy for the children. ServLife Hope Fund Helps Sopole Start Own Tire Repair Business in Thailand

Sopole.jpgSopole is from the Takaupa district of Phang Nga, Thailand. Prior to the tsunami in 2004, he was a vendor at the local market, selling homemade clothes his wife sewed. Joel and Elise Vestal had just returned from India and were visiting her small group to talk about ServLife. “Upon hearing them share,” said Shepherd, “I took one of their End Hunger Now bumper stickers and promptly placed it on my Ford Taurus. Graduate of ServLife Training Institute in Nepal Starts School in Local Community in Rural Nepal

Dayaram.jpgDayaram Chudhari knew if he wanted to share the love of Christ with the Kamaya people, he would need to search for ways he could help empower them. Dayaram is a graduate from the first class of local mission workers from the ServLife Training Institute in Nepal in 2007. Local Mission Worker, Anokh, Helping to Restore the Truth of the Gospel in Chhattisgarh, India

Anokh.jpgAnokh is a single man raised in a Christian family. He was born in the state of Chhattisgarh, which is located in the east-central region of India. He arrived at the ServLife’s Leadership Training Institute in India, in June of 2003 and graduated on May 29, 2004. ServLife’s Sponsorship Program Reaches to Remote Regions of Nepal

ServLife Training Institute in India Graduates Sixth Class of Indigenous Workers

On May 17th, 2008, ServLife’s Leadership Training Institute in Bihar, India, graduated seven new local workers. This is the sixth graduation class to complete the leadership training program in India, and since the training institute was started in 2001, over 60 local workers have been trained through it. The training lasts one year, and these workers will now go back to their home and work amongst their villages, planting new churches, and sharing Christ with their communities.
